Jefferies global CLO head set to join Blackstone

Laura Coady, global head of CLO origination and head of European securitised markets at Jefferies, is understood to be joining Blackstone Credit, according to 9fin sources.

London-based Coady is understood to be joining as global head of CLOs and European head of liquid credit strategies, reporting into Dan Leiter who joined last year as global head of liquid credit strategies and head of international. The move to Blackstone marks Coady’s first role on the buy side.

Blackstone Credit has $111bn of assets under management in liquid credit, across corporate bonds, leveraged loans, CLOs and multi-asset credit. Liquid credit is part of the firm’s $465bn in credit AUM.

Coady will be leading a Blackstone team that includes Alex Leonard, who runs the European loan business, Michael Sobol, New York-based head of CLO investing, David Cunningham, European CLO portfolio manager, and Jane Lee, who serves as head of CLO capital formation, sources say.
